La Signorina Gabriella
The sister of Giulia (Giuseppe Cipriani's wife), Gabriella was known throughout her life as 'La Signorina'. She not only 'adopted' her sister's family but participated enthusiastically in all of Giuseppe Cipriani's initiatives.
And so, captivated by the island's magical atmosphere, Gabriella came to be in charge of the day-to-day running of Locanda Cipriani for more than 30 years. Gabriella took loving care of the Locanda as only a perfect hostess can, taking it upon herself to personally ensure the guests' comfort by looking after them in a way that really made them feel at home..

Evidence that Gabriella's loving devotion did not go unnoticed by guests - whether celebrities or ordinary mortals - can be seen in the numerous signs of affection they gave her, such as pictures and paintings, and the long, close friendships she established with them.

Christmas Greetings from Ernest and Mary Hemingway
